World Language teacher leaders share expertise at conference

Central Spanish teacher Sally Belter and South WL Department Chair Sarah Lombard presented at the West Suburban World Language Conference on County-wide Institute Day at Wheaton Warrenville South. Belter’s  “Interactive Google Slides and Sheets” focused on creating engaging, visually appealing digital activities and assessments on Google Slides and Google Sheets. She shared several examples and walked through how to create interpretive activities and self-checking vocabulary and grammar practices. Lombard’s presentation “Culturally-responsive World Language Education” shared classroom practices to accelerate learning and create independent learners of all backgrounds and identities.
