Hinsdale Central math teachers Hannah Ruedy and Abbey Green presented at the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics annual conference held at the end of October. Their presentation titled “Power of Reassessment” shared student feedback, from a variety of levels, on how reassessment helps improve learning mathematics and social emotional learning. Ruedy and Green worked with teachers to help them build a classroom community with students as partners in learning. Teachers who attended the presentation left with a better understanding of how to manage reassessment in the classroom.
