In an effort to keep you informed about developments with the board, our “Boarder Patrol” volunteers attend board meetings and then provide a synopsis of the meeting. Please direct questions to your HHSTA Executive Board.

Good News
Kevin Pobst announced Dan Otahal’s recognition by the State Board of Education as a Those who Excel Award recipient.

Board Reports
The Communication committee is exploring airing Board meetings on cable. Mr. Sharma has secured funding for the project. Mr. Skoda and Mrs. Barrett voiced concerns over insurance liabilities and discrimination against those without cable.

The Superintendent’s report proposed an exploration of removing class rank.

Mr. Sharma is looking to revive the Technology committee and requested volunteers.

Interesting developments
There are two groups of parents that are trying to get permission to fund building projects on the school campus. One group is trying build a fitness center and the other a new aquatics center. It seems that these groups will be able to fund the vast majority of these projects themselves.
