Central FACS teacher Ms. Liz Meersman has been keeping her students cooking and learning while at home. Even though, as she says, “hands on classes don’t always translate to online,” Meersman has been using her creativity and flexibility to make remote learning work. She’s been posting her own demonstrations as well as utilizing other online content. Sensitive to the fact that students have different situations at home, Meersman always tries “to give students the option to cook in each unit” but she realizes that “resources are not always available.” Thanks for your professionalism and ingenuity, Ms. Meersman!
We may be apart from our students and apart from our colleagues, but we are still together!
