Hinsdale South’s Environmental Concerns Organization (ECO Club), under the guidance of sponsors Adam Hallihan and Kristin Kaduk, recently received funding from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to plant a native pollinator garden on South’s campus.
South’s Buildings and Grounds staff first prepped the area by removing sod. SCARCE, a nonprofit organization that serves DuPage county by promoting environmental education and resource conservation, supplied compost that helped add nutrients to the area. Finally, ECO club prepared the ground and planted the native species.
